The Nike Air Max 1 is no longer celebrating its milestone 35th anniversary, but it continues to flex its creative muscles with brand new styles.
Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design emerged in a fall-appropriate mix of “White,” “Light Orewood Brown,” and “Bronze.” At quick glance, the offering takes on the original Air Max‘s color scheme, but closer inspection only confirms a similar color-blocking. Mesh and suede come together across the upper, with the former material setting the stage for the latter. The softer of the two materials opts for a light brown tone that’s also appeared on other NIKE, Inc. options over the last year. Upper eyelets, profile swooshes, and mudguards deviate in a dark orange hue that introduces tumbled leather as well. Branding on the tongue label and spine follow suit. Underfoot, the industry-changing sole unit keeps things straightforward: the midsole boasts a “colorless’ finish, while the waffle-patterned traction features a mix of “Black,” “White,” and ‘Bronze.”
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and find the shoes via the Nike SNKRS app on August 18th. The “Light Orewood Brown” style is priced at $150 USD.
