Sneaker News One of Nike Basketball’s most standout designs of the 1980s has re-entered the market in 2023. Alongside original colorways and a rather puzzling partnership with Billie Eilish, who barely lifted a finger in getting the collab credit, the Air Alpha Force ’88 is being rolled out in a series of new options that befit the lifestyle category.
Already appearing in a “Photon Dust” colorway (dropping August 31st), Nike now offers up a full black suede upper, option for a monochromatic effect. The only breaks arrive via the midsole, flooded in Coconut Milk, and the over-sized FORCE emblem on the tongue.
Quite a unique direction for the Air Alpha Force ’88 to go in, but let’s keep our fingers crossed for more redeeming colorways moving forward.
