Teddy Santis has made New Balance‘s Made in USA collection one of the most coveted amongst millennials since taking the helm in April 2021. Over the past two years, the Queens-native has brought classic and experimental styles to some of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes.
Recently, the New Balance 990v4 emerged in a muted mix of grey, black, and white. Prepped for Santis’ Made in USA Season 4, the sneaker features all the high-quality materials that the category is known for, with premium pig suede sharing the stage with robust fabric. Branding and supporting details throughout the upper opt for lighter shades of grey than their surroundings, with pitch-dark contrast also claiming real estate all throughout. Underfoot, the tried-and-proven cushioning solution introduces a faux-vintage aesthetic around the heel; foam from mid-foot to toe favors a pristine white finish. Lastly, the outsole matches the hits of black that peek out from underneath suede ovwrlays across the upper.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a stateside newbalance.com launch on February 8th. The NB 990v4 is priced at $210 USD.
