Headlined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Draymond Green and Natasha Cloud, Converse has expanded its foray back onto the hardwood with All-Star level caliber talent and an equally compelling line of footwear. Residing upon the laurels of its All-Star Pro BB since 2019, the Boston-based brand has since unveiled its latest on-court technology, the All-Star BB Trilliant CX.
Drawing inspiration from the Magic Johnson-synonymous 1993 Aero Jam, the low-top silhouette boasts a removable lace cover that can be converted into a duo of looks. Composed of a durable polyester upper, the “Magic Flame” and “Nitro Bud” compositions adhere to a poison dart frog aesthetic with a multi-color hexagonal print consuming both pair’s uppers and shrouds. What’s more, the third pictured pair resides in stark opposition with jet-black whisp graphics curing the dark blue base while indulging in “Magma Orange” accents.
As for the model’s more technical elements, the height of the heel tab has been raised to match that of its tongue while a TPU heel counter stretches from sole unit for more structured mobility. Underfoot, the Trilliant engages in a full-length CX Foam cushioning system while a pocket at the forefoot has been reserved for Nike’s staple Zoom Air.
The Converse All-Star BB Trilliant CX is scheduled to be released overseas on August 31st. In the meantime, the pairs can be seen below in detailed imagery below while we await news regarding a stateside release.
