Back in 2016, only 501 pairs of the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Bred” were ever produced, placing it amongst some of the most difficult releases to get your hands on. But now more than seven years later, that’ll no longer be the case, as the Jumpman is bringing back the colorway in both women’s and kids’ sizes alike.
Drawing direct inspiration from the warm-up outfits worn by Michael Jordan when promoting his first signature, the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Bred” is a more luxurious reinterpretation of the much-beloved OG colorway. While faithful to its source material in the way of color blocking, the Retro does make a number of subtle adjustments beyond its choice of material, such as the upgrade to embroidered branding and the use of “University Red” in place of “Varsity Red.” The kids’ sizes largely follow suit save for in their Wings logos, which are patched atop the ankle flaps rather than threaded into the satin material itself.
The Air Jordan 1 “Satin Bred” is currently slated to release on October 18th via Nike SNKRS. Enjoy a closer look at the PS and TD sizes ahead as await the launch as well as official images of the women’s pair.
In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 1 Praline surfaced earlier this week.
