Over the course of its history, NIKE, Inc. hasn’t been shy about referencing its own work.
As summer winds down, a Nike Air Huarache has appeared in a clean white, purple, and pink color scheme reminiscent of old school Nike ACG offerings. The retro running silhouette debuted at the height of the brand’s All Conditions Gear category, which makes the connection plausible. Neoprene components at the tongue and mid-foot divvy up rich purple and pink tones, allowing for panels around the toe and atop the tongue to indulge in an off white finish. Plastic rails around the heel contribute a two-tone, semi-translucent look into the mix, which has been common of the Tinker Hatfield’s 32-year-old design. Lastly, the tried-and-proven midsole cushioning favors a slight-yellow hue that injects an “aged” aesthetic into the sneaker.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon. The men’s Air Huarache is priced at $125 USD.
