Between five New England-based factories and one in the United Kingdom, New Balance routinely promotes silhouettes that boast premium textures derived from locally sourced production avenues. For its next iteration, the stateside factory checks off another New Balance 996, this time composed of a striking yellow/green palette.
From the supple mesh base layer to the surrounding smooth leather overlays, the near entirety of the upper’s real estate assumes faint daffodil hues – which are further illuminated via the crisp white laces, inner lining and midsole. Amplifying a sliver of the midsole alongside the profile “N” logos in a complimentary forest green, beige-centric shades begin to overtake the seldom suede trim of the foxing in a more vibrant finish when compared to its tongue and heel counter’s lightened tint. What’s more, the tread underfoot and the heel tab above instigate a striking jet-black contrast that adds further fall-friendly layers to the pastel-dominant palette.
The New Balance 996 Made In USA “Pale Yellow” is scheduled to be released this Thursday, September 7th, for a retail price of $190. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below.
In other news, the J Balvin Jordan 3 release has been postponed.
