Ever since the inaugural release of her second signature silhouette with PUMA, Breanna Stewart has looked to the four main elements as the introductory palette for the Stewie 2. After exploring both water and earth-based offerings, the nitrogen-infused model now assumes a flaming “Fire” aesthetic.
Debuting the colorway during her 20-point performance in the New York Liberty’s nine-point win over the Las Vegas Aces on Monday, the latest PUMA Stewie 2 takes inspiration from the two-time WNBA Champion’s fierce competitive fire. Much like the water-based ensemble, red-hot graphic flames consume the entirety of the mesh black upper while reserving the remaining embellishments to cater to the colorful composition. Graphite-cut profile side stripe logos receive a compelling greyscale appearance while a yellow-to-purple gradient ensues across the reinforced PWRTAPE overlays. Elsewhere, the sculpted heel and Nitro-cushioned sole unit strike up a vibrant marigold compliment underfoot.
The PUMA Stewie 2 “Fire” is scheduled to release on September 9th for a retail price of $125. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below.
For more basketball offerings, the Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” will also debut in grade school sizes.
