Andrew Reynolds — a legend in the skateboarding community, having began his career in the early ’90s — has been skating for New Balance Numeric ever since the tail end of 2022. And given that their partnership only began a few months ago, it’ll likely be a bit longer before we see Reynolds’ own shoe on the shelves. In the meantime, the brand has collaborated with the skateboarder on a special, signature colorway of the 480.
While originally designed for the hardwood, the 480 has since been adopted by New Balance Numeric and their growing family of sponsored skaters. Andrew Reynolds is the latest to put his spin on the silhouette, dressing it up in a range of earth tones. Brown shades from dark to light are used throughout the shoe, alternating along the suede, leather, and brushed nubuck construction. Underfoot, the model boasts signature Numeric tech, from a full-length FuelCell midsole to an Ndurance rubber outsole and Abzorb sockliner.
Complete with Reynolds’s name on the tongue, the New Balance 480BOS is slated to release globally at select shops as well as NewBalance.com on Sept. 18th for a retail of $100 USD.
In other news, the size? Nike Air Max 1 is slated to release on Sept. 29th.
