Michael Le Newly-inducted into the MADE in USA fold, the New Balance 998 is finally receiving some long overdue attention. And following a rather eventful beginning to the year, the silhouette is now lining up more colorways for the second half of 2023.
New Balance is not at all immune to the “Panda” hype, and this has trickled down to the 998. But here, the model avoids appearing like a pale imitation, as it pairs the neutral-dominant color scheme with series of cream accents. White, then, dresses the mid-panel, lace unit, inner lining, and heel tab, while black highlights not only the “N” logo but also the accompanying branding and adjacent trims.
