The Salomon ACS Pro is set to receive another collaboration, this time with Afro-vegan restaurant, Jah Jah.
Located in Paris’ 10th arrondissement, Jah Jah was founded in 2017 by Coralie Jouhier and Daquisiline Gomis as a way to bring community together, tell stories, and transcend boundaries by reinventing Caribbean and African dishes. Gomis and Jouhier bring their distinct vision to the Salomon ACS Pro, telling the tale of the “Kankourang,” an initiatory rite practiced in Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau. The central figure to the Kankourang serves as guardian of ancestral customs and traditions, maintaining social order and communal unity. Jah Jah, then, covers the ACS Pro in “Chocolate,” “Black,” and “High Risk Red,” colors prevalent in Yoff, the coastal commune in Dakar in which the collaboration’s campaign was shot.
Enjoy campaign photography ahead, and find the shoes dropping in Paris at Jah Jah’s studio tomorrow, September 26th. A wider launch will take place on Thursday, September 28th, via salomon.com for 195€ (approx. $206.57 USD).
