As massive as the extended adidas family may be, few names have had as much of an impact on the brand as Yohji Yamamoto. And to celebrate two whole decades of collaboration, the Three Stripes is releasing a very special, yet grounded take on the Stan Smith.

adidas Y-3 is absolutely no stranger to the Stan Smith. But despite having reworked the tennis staple numerous times, yet has the sub-label presented a style quite as simple as this. Although constructed of higher quality materials, the model is the near spitting image of the original at a glance. Branding, however, sees notable tweaks: in addition to the tonal co-branding imprinted into the heel, Stan Smith’s portrait has been swapped out for that of Yohji Yamamoto himself.
