New Balance’s lifestyle roster is timeless by nature, amplifying its unyielding designs throughout the decades with a staple grey or navy composition. Recently, the brand’s Made In USA banner constructed the fourth iteration of the 990 in the Boston banner’s iconic dark blue tint.
The pitch-dark treatment has composed the 990v4 on a number of occasions, making its return to the principal 1990s racing solution amidst the height of Fall. From the mesh base layer, tongue and inner lining to the premium pigskin suede overlays, the near-entirety of the upper is cast in a clad “Navy” treatment. Complimented by a bright blue set of underlays, non-reflective “Silver” accents bring a familiar elemental injection within the profile “N” logos, uppermost eye stays, heel tab and the ENCAP midsole. Accompanied by vibrant red NB branding at the heel and USA flag tongue tabs, the locally sourced silhouette embarks upon a crisp white closing across the front half of the sole unit.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA “Navy” is expected to release on October 20th for a retail price of $185. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery ahead.
