Hemp Materials Construct The Latest Basketball-Oriented Nike Dunk High

UPDATE November 15th, 2023: Official images have been updated below.

Despite no longer appearing on the hardwood, the Nike Dunk High is still very much a basketball shoe. And to pay homage to its deep-seated ties to the sport, the Peter Moore-designed classic has delivered many a commemorative colorway.

Take the “EMB” pack, for example, which has introduced new, basketball-oriented styles of the Dunk High every year since 2021. And though it’s unconfirmed whether or not this newly-revealed pair is part of the collection’s next installment, it does seem to borrow a similar inspiration. This isn’t immediately apparent, though, as the leathers typical of the shoe have been replaced by hemp and suede. Dressed in a light brown and muted blue, respectively, these two materials run the length of the upper, matching the color palette of many of the fixtures adjacent. That is, with the exception of the woven label, the tab along the heel, and the “Official Nike Basketball” branding, all of which are dressed in a deep orange shade similar to that of an actual basketball.

Enjoy a closer look at this upcoming Nike Dunk High via the retailer imagery ahead. It’s likely further details will be revealed shortly, so sit tight and stay tuned for further updates.
