Back in 2003, LeBron James faced off against the Kings in his first-ever career game. And last night, in what can only called by an act of fate, the athlete once again played the Sacramento team, this time wearing a special NXXT GEN PE that calls back to that 20-year-old memory.

Drawing direct inspiration from the very Air Zoom Generation worn two decades prior — the same colorway that was Retro’d earlier this year — this Nike LeBron NXXT Gen PE serves as a perfect celebration of King James’ NBA debut. The color blocking and design of the iconic pair are recreated rather faithfully here, proffering black textile along the heel and white leathers forward. Red, then, comes in along the adjacent detailing, such as the aglets, the dual Swooshes, and the “FIRST GAME” tab along the heel.

Enjoy a closer look at this Nike LeBron NXXT GEN PE ahead. At the time of writing this, it’s unconfirmed whether or not this colorway will be seeing a retail release. If that changes, however, expect to find out right here.
