Nearly a year ago, at the start of the 2022-2023 NBA Season, the New York Knicks appointed its first-ever Creative Director in Ronnie Fieg, the Kith founder who himself has been a loyal Knicks fan throughout his life. Now, the Queens native brings his acute talents to 32nd St. via two New Balance 990v6 collaborations inspired by the World’s Most Famous Arena.

Madison Square Garden is home to many professional sports teams and entertainment acts, but at this time of year, much of the attention is on the New York Knicks and Rangers — two teams for which its fans are holding the highest and headiest of expectations since the franchise last topped 50 wins in 2013. That team and its venue is the clear focal point in both of the concocted colorways of the New Balance 990v6, revealed on Ronnie’s personal Instagram page.
The Kith x New Balance 990v6 “Madison Square Garden” sees the striking blue and orange tones adorn the upper a bone/cream, with custom blue/orange insoles feature official MSG branding on the left. The black pair honors the hockey team, with Rangers blue/red sitting above a dark base. Both pairs will be housed in a unique shoebox featuring the subway tiled signs underground cover the box lid.
An official release date has been confirmed for November 6th, 2023 exclusively at Kith in-store, online, and the Kith App.
In other collaboration news, the Naruto ASICS GEL-NYC is set to drop in December.
