Nike’s “Valentine’s Day 2024” Collection Includes A Sweet Cortez

Valentine’s Day 2024 is several months away, but the Nike Cortez is already in a mood for love.

Part of an expansive Nike Sportswear collection that also includes festive Air Force 1s, the newly-surfaced pair relies on traditional motifs to celebrate February 14th. An off white leather base sets the stage for Valentine’s Day-friendly contrast, namely the profile swooshes and Achilles’ Heel overlay clad in rich red suede. Branding throughout the sneaker also boasts a playful heart-shaped cherry graphic, a sure nod to the “conversation hearts” candy exchanged on the most romantic day of the year.

Elsewhere, the “Valentine’s Day” Cortez also enjoys special lace dubraes; original “Nike” text on the spine is replaced with the same pink-colored heart-and-swoosh graphic. Nike Running’s iconic sole unit underfoot abandons all the overt references to 2024’s February holiday, but still features punchy-red flair across the midsole. Serrated traction reverts to the bone-like hue that overtakes the upper, rounding out the commemorative ensemble.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for firm nike.com release details. The Nike Cortez is priced at $100 USD and will likely only arrive in Women’s sizing.
