Developed and launched with the help of Chicago’s Don C, the Jordan Legacy 312 Low has enjoyed a steady stream of releases since 2018. For its latest ensemble, the hybrid design based on Air Jordan icons has taken on a two-tone color scheme complete with “Cement” swooshes.
At first glance (and in reading the model’s name), Air Jordan 3 DNA is evident on the modern offering. The sneaker’s general shape falls in line with Nike, Inc.’s designs from the 1980s, although the legacy model has taken on bolder color arrangements fit for today. Leather panels throughout the upper opt for a clean “White” finish that allows for the slightest contrast to revel in the spotlight. Lockdown straps at the vamp and Jumpman-branded panels at the spine favor a pitch-“Black” tone that’ll surely evoke images of the Panda Dunks in some minds. Branding on the top of the tongue and sockliners also follow suit, but the Jordan Legacy 312 Low’s profile swooshes take on a “Cement Grey” tone and elephant print pattern directly transplanted from Tinker Hatfield’s first creation for the Air Jordan line.
Original pairs of Don C’s joint-effort proudly featured the design cue, as have subsequent styles. Elephant print, however, usually makes its way around the heel or along the mid-foot. The “Cement Swoosh” offering breathes new life into the heritage design, which sits on aptly-colored tooling. Midsoles enjoy an off white finish that injects an air of age into the model, all while the traction underfoot also keeps things old school.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead. No firm nike.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. The Jordan Legacy 312 “Cement Swoosh” is priced at $145 USD.
