Receiving a timely revitalization at the end of the year, the Nike Air Flight 89 has continued to prepare its introductory slate of colorways ahead of what’s sure to be a momentous 2024 for the Beaverton brand. Joining the ever-expanding roster is this murky black-and-grey effort.

Building off the success of its pitch-dark efforts from years past, the silhouette synonymous with Kevin Johnson, Reggie Miller and Scottie Pippen now endorses light grey accents that juxtapose the silhouette’s past clad-black efforts – done usually in suede. Here, smooth nubuck and pebbled leather overlays construct a richly textured upper draped almost exclusively in a jet-black tint. The midnight aesthetic continues down across the sole unit in an all-out fashion while dark grey hues animate the profile swoosh, heel counter and inner lining while crisp white cursive Flight branding illuminates the tongue amidst a sea of colorless panels.
