Nike effectively struck gold when they revitalized the Zoom Vomero 5 amidst the height of the “dad shoe” trends’ popularity. Executing a compelling range of styles in both men’s and women’s sizing, the circa 2010 runner is now taking its neutral-based compositions to new heights with spring-ready accents.
Mirroring the glow-in-the-dark detailing of its “Supersonic” counterpart, this upcoming installment follows suit with a pastel-infused “Light Armory Blue” coating the mid-foot webbing and the pods of the sole unit. A jet-black variance then injects the inner lining, profile swoosh and mesh base layer with a pitch-dark ambiguity, providing a stark contrast between the bright white textile netting and “Platinum Tint” leather overlays just above. Accompanied by signature “Metallic Platinum” hits throughout for visibility in the dimmest of conditions, the latest women’s exclusive effort concludes with a slightly aged “Phantom” midsole that compliments the neutral-dominant upper underfoot.
Release details haven’t been made available just yet. In the meantime, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Platinum Tint/Light Armory Blue” can be seen in detailed imagery ahead.
For more from the Beaverton brand, the Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch” arrives on December 16th.
