Jovani Hernandez La Liga’s Real Madrid is one of the most recognizable and decorated football clubs in the world. Recently, the Spanish team added an adidas Gazelle to its expansive trophy case.
Part of a larger Originals collection that includes pairs for Manchester United, Argentina, and others, the pair is simple in style but grand in importance. Currently headed by Carlo Ancelotti (although that’s speculated to change), Real Madrid has had a long history of success, transcending sport. As of this writing, Los Merengues are second in La Liga’s standings behind Gerona (yes, you read that right), but the club has its eyes on some blockbuster signings that could instantly propel them to top of the league. Its commemorative Gazelle is covered in a “Legend Ink” suede that’s contrasted by “Cloud White” leather 3-Stripes at the sides. Achilles’ Heel panels also opt for a “colorless” leather finish that allows for adidas’ iconic trefoil logo to revel in the spotlight. “Gazelle” text on the lateral side also indulges in a shimmering “Metallic Gold” look, complementing the golden yellow found in Real Madrid’s emblem stamped on the tongue.
Underfoot, the adidas Originals Gazelle for the Spanish club keep things simpler. The old school sole unit rounds out the special shoe with an all-“Cloud White” arrangement that allows for the upper to stand out more. Together, each aforementioned component helps further cement Madrid’s legacy outside of the pitch.
