Allen Iverson’s Reebok Answer IV Returns In “Black/Flash Red”

Featuring a revitalization in 2021, the Reebok Answer IV unveiled a handful of all-new colorways draped across Allen Iverson’s fourth signature silhouette. As the Boston-based brand begins to revamp its basketball banner under the direction of Shaquille O’Neal and AI – as President and VP respectively – the circa 1996 hardwood staple has since arrived in a compelling “Bred” style color blocking reminiscent of the two-year-old style.

Executing a flipped iteration of the model’s 2021 release featuring the same exact palette, the Answer IV explores a strict two-toned treatment across its clad-leather upper. In contrast to its counterpart from two years ago, the updated release sees a matte “Core Black” tint overtake the toe box, mid-foot shank and the connecting heel counter while simultaneously consuming the entirety of the sole unit underfoot. In direct defiance, the upper half of the tongue, collar, inner lining and presiding pull tabs are doused in a rich “Flash Red” hue that’s become synonymous with AI’s signature discography.

The Reebok Answer IV “Black/Flash Red” is scheduled to release on December 8th via reebok.com for a retail price of $170. In the meantime, the pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
