Jared Ebanks Over the past few weeks, the Nike Air Huarache has been catering exclusively to the Beaverton brand’s female audience. Bridging the circa 1991 silhouette with a contemporary palette, the neoprene constructed trainer was recently doused with a titular palette.
Relying upon its original tooling from the early 90s, the mid-top model is initially anchored in a greyscale treatment, pairing its crisp white textile vamp, laces and midsole with an accenting collection of off-white leather overlays. A striking jet-black contrast brings clarity to the tread, heel counter and inner lining, saving the remaining remnants of the Pantone wheel for the middle-most section of the model. As such, a vibrant “Volt” hue animates the quarter and tongue while the mid-foot panel executes a pale yellow finish.
