The adidas Response CL Shines In “Magic Lilac”

Pastels provide the silhouette with an early Spring transition.

The adidas Response CL Shines In “Magic Lilac”

Introduced at the tail end of 2020 and the height of the ongoing dad shoe trend, the adidas Response CL effortlessly packaged the circa 2003 Response Cushioning system into a low-top tooling comprised of a litany of aesthetics from throughout the 2000s. Achieving a number of collaborative installments alongside Bad Bunny, it seems as if the Y2K era silhouette is ready to adventure out onto its own fueled by a range of GR compositions.

Recently, the adidas Response CL arrived with an eerily early outlook for the distant spring season. Constructing a slightly more sophisticated look in comparison to its mesh-dominant counterparts, the three-year-old silhouette explores a richly textured full nubuck upper. A playful injection of “Magic Lilac” coats every embellishment across the upper, from the various layered overlays to the laces, tongue and the inner lining. Taking the chunky midsole look to new levels, the silhouette explores a clad-cream look that’s complemented by a classic gum outsole underfoot.

The adidas Response CL “Magic Lilac” is currently available overseas. As we await news regarding a stateside release, the pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.

For more upcoming releases, the Jordan 3 “Midnight Navy” arrives on December 16th.
