A Dimly Lit Green Suede Consumes The Latest Nike Cortez

The Nike Cortez has expanded from its synonymous early 70s tooling throughout the last half of 2023, appearing in heavy suede outfits and accompanying collections like “NAI-KE” and the 2023 Doernbecher collection. Recently, the longest-running model in the Beaverton brand’s history has chosen to mirror its green scale palette with a much darker hue.

Complementing the model’s past “Chlorophyll” and “Oregon Fir” efforts, the low-top trim renders a slightly dimmer shade of green throughout the clad-suede real estate. While a more tamed construction outfits the upper sidewalls, a much more messy treatment ascertains the mudguard and quarter alongside the heel counter and tab. Elsewhere, a rare amount of navy enters the fold at the cursive Nike tongue tabs before the profile swoosh, midsole and branded tabs achieve a complementary collection of “Sail” accents.

The Nike Cortez “Vintage Green/Sail” is currently available via the store list below for a retail price of $90. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery ahead.

In other news, the Jordan 14 “Black/White” releases on Wednesday, December 20th.
