“Dark Pewter Grey” Brushes Up Onto The Nike Air Max Scorpion

Back in 2017, the debut of the Nike Vapormax took the Beaverton brand’s Max Air lineup to a new level by boosting the wearer a few inches off the ground with a full-length attached Air bubble. Five years later, and the Nike Air Max Scorpion has easily taken the title as the banner’s most polarizing Max Air tooling.

Continuing to expand its inline efforts following a debut in late 2022, the pandemic-produced silhouette recently arrived in a sleek greyscale composition. Split between a hairy suede quarter and Flyknit upper, the seamless textures are doused with equal amounts of a light grey that travels up to the laces, inner lining and the heel’s pull tab. Just below, the full-length TPU mudguard is swatched with a contrasting “Dark Smoke Grey” shade. Elsewhere, the tonal grey treatment is interrupted at the sole unit where a pitch-dark “Midnight Navy” overtakes the Air Max cushioning system in tandem with the profile swooshes and portions of the tread underfoot.

Release details haven’t been made available just yet. In the meantime, the Nike Air Max Scorpion “Dark Pewter Grey” can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.

In other news, the Jordan 11 “Columbia” is reportedly set to return for Holiday 2024.
