Since debuting at market via a collaboration with Dime Montreal during Paris Fashion Week, the ASICS GT-2160 has steadily risen as one of the Japanese brand’s more crucial models under the Sportsyle umbrella. With a series of in-line seasonal offerings already hitting store shelves, the GT-2160 is ready to embark on its second phase via a newly streamlined build.
The ASICS GT-2160 NS, revealed here in three colorways under the “Earthenware Pack”, debuts this restructured upper. Shedding the classic running shoe construction of mesh, leathers, and suedes, ASICS opts for a No-Sew approach that reinforces the tech-wear aesthetic for new-age climbers and outdoorsmen. The ASICS strike logo is taped above thin mesh underlays as is the toe-cap, while an armored plating covers the heel via a diamond-textured pattern.
ASICS is set to debut the GT-2160 NS globally on January 19th, 2024; the MSRP is expected to be around $135.
