Reebok Is Reliving The Above The Rim Days With Another Classic Retro

Reebok Is Reliving The Above The Rim Days With Another Classic Retro

With its divestment from the adidas Group and the appointing of Shaquille O’neal and Allen Iverson in key roles, Reebok truly turned a page into a new chapter in 2023.

On the heels of the re-issue of the Reebok Pump Vertical last Fall, the brand has also decided to bring back other silhouettes from the Above The Rim series. The Pump-less ATR Mid is the first the receive the retro treatment, appearing at European retailers  in the original black/white colorway adorned with the pyramidal logo on the tongue.

The late 1980s-early 1990s span was arguably the peak for the brand in terms of athlete partnerships; Dennis Rodman, Steve Smith, Horace Grant, Greg Anthony, Sean Elliott, Danny Manning, and several other stars of the early 1990s were featured in iconic advertisements for Above The Rim and other hoops marketing initiatives.

For now, you can snag a pair of the ATR Mid early in our Where To Buy section below; a U.S. release date hasn’t been announced yet, but should arrive soon.

In other Reebok news, the iconic Court Victory Pump tennis shoe is poised for a comeback this year.
