An early look at Donovan Mitchell's next shoe with adidas.

First Look At The adidas D.O.N. Issue 6 Signature Shoe

Donovan Mitchell’s fifth and current signature shoe model debuted at retail just a few months ago, hitting adidas Basketball accounts for $120. For the forward-thinking hoopers, we’ve got a first look at his next model – the adidas D.O.N. Issue 6.

Revealed by Instagram user @sesame_unboxing, the next Donovan Mitchell shoes by adidas revealed with a significantly new design and cushioning package. Returning to cplatform is the Lightstrike Pro system, carried over the previous model. A propulsion plate from the Issue 5 could be part of the unseen interior system, but what’s visible to the eye is a carbon fiber plate at the midfoot. The upper is comprised of a mesh exterior above a synthetic underlay where a thick three stripes is gently seen through the porous outer shell.

The DON Issue 6, revealed here in a golden orange and a royal blue colorway sample, features a similar lower-cut design to previous models, keeping to Mitchell’s needs on the court. A simpler traction pattern is placed on the forefoot and heel pod with spacing at the center where the aforementioned carbon fiber plate is fixed.

Should adidas choose to stay with their current release schedule, the adidas DON Issue 6 will likely release this October 2024.

In other adidas hoops news, the “Stormtrooper” colorway of Anthony Edwards’ shoes have been revealed.
