Nike To Debut The All-New Flyknit Bloom In Burgundy

Since its introduction in 2012, Nike Flyknit revolutionized the sneaker industry by ushering in a lengthy era of second-skin knit footwear. With yarns made of recycled plastics, Flyknit checked off the fashionable and sustainable box, leading to competing brands to introduce their own take on stretchy knit sneakers.

Twelve years in, Nike is still pushing the limits of Flyknit, mostly applying it to high-performance athletic product. While it’s fallen a bit out of favor in the lifestyle front, Nike isn’t moving away from it yet as it’s still the centerpiece of a number of models such as the Air Max Scorpion and the upcoming Air Max Flyknit Venture.

2024 will see the debut of new models such as the Flyknit Bloom; the sneaker is clandestine with its branding, with Swoosh logos hiding inside the knit panels on the upper, tongue, and heel. The newly crafted design sits above a chunky, chiseled midsole that appears less like a traditional sneaker sole and more like a set of off-road tires.

Sneaker News confirms that several colorways are scheduled to release this Spring/Summer 2024 season with an MSRP around $150.
