Salehe Bembury spearheads yet another initiative with Crocs with the Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job project which consists of collaborative work with fellow artists and creators in the space. Kickings things off is Futura, the legendary street artist, who applies his signature atom graphics and graffiti-style paint on the Pollex Clog.
Revealed through Bembury’s Instagram, the Futura x Crocs Pollex Clog utilizes a royal blue as its base, with various aquatic shades covering the fore-foot and the heel of the slip-on clog. Furthermore, the artist’s Futura Laboratories appears on the inner heel in black to further stamp the collaborative effort.
Further details regarding the production of the pairs haven’t been revealed, although it’s possible that they’ve all be hand-painted by Futura himself. Whatever the case is, just 1,000 pairs will be released on Thursday, February 15th at 9am PST exclusively through beaspunge.com.
Although not yet confirmed, it’s likely that Salehe has worked with other prominent creators for Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job , so stay tuned for updates as we learn more.
