The Nike Cortez Gets A Purple Makeover Ahead Of Spring

The Nike Cortez has seen more than a few peaks and valleys since its 1972 debut, now on the upswing once again thanks to trending retro aesthetics and notable celebrity endorsements (looking at you, Jeremy Allen White). With eyes towards spring, Nike now looks set to deliver an all-purple iteration perfectly suited for the warmer weather ahead.

A nylon base makes its way onto the Beaverton brand’s latest Cortez installment, offering ample breathability on a silhouette that also surfaces regularly in full suede and leather builds. Suede paneling makes its usual appearance on the toe, eyelets, and heel in purple, while a white leather Nike Swoosh keeps things simple while matching the outsole.

Fans of the Nike Cortez can expect these to hit shelves within the next few months as Nike readies more Spring 2024 offerings. In the meantime, enjoy official images below and check out images of the Forrest Gump Nike Cortez returning later this year.
