New Balance 1906R “Polka Dot” Pack

The two-piece set is trending towards a wide men's release.

New Balance 1906R “Polka Dot” Pack

The New Balance 1906R continues to march on as one of the spotlight models in the Boston brand’s arsenal for 2024. As long-teased, explosive collaborations for the shoe loom large, in-house releases for them appear to be heating up in kind, as the “Polka Dot” pack brings a patterned upper to the line-heavy runner.

Our first semi-official look at these comes via their architect, Yue Wu, who is the chief designer responsible here. The nocturnal, black dominant pair keeps the Polka Dot concept on the mesh uppers a two tone affair, with those white spots the sole bit of contrast to the rest of the blacked-out shoe.

Though not too far off of that conservative construction, the white half of the Polka Dot pack equation throws a bit more color into the mix. It of course inverts to a black-on-white pattern, but additionally adds in a variety of off-white shades in the leather overlays, mid and outsoles.

No concrete date or price is set for the Polka Dot pack, but Wu has a history of posting his designs close to their release. It’s safe to assume the “Polka Dot” pack will be arriving via the NB site and app in the short term future.

Elsewhere for the Boston brand, multiple new colorways of New Balance 550 continue the model’s momentum as we head towards spring.
