As the demand for slides pushes sneaker brands to warp & bend their sneakers to fit the warm-weather aesthetic, Nike continues pushing out poolside versions of their classic models. In their first half dozen initial looks going in pretty colorful directions, it’s honestly shocking how long it’s taken for the Nike Air More Uptempo Slide to go the triple white route. Finally, the latest Uptempo Slide goes to a classic Nike colorway in their new fresh & clean outfitting.

Though the spell-out Nike Air text on the side of these is the most obvious hallmark held constant from the Nike Air More Uptempo generally, the whole slide is taken up by the chunky, maximalist design principles that mark that parent silhouette.

The midsole specifically is what sticks out after looking past the upper, still maintaining the segmented, futuristic look, and keeping visible Air units for these pieces of comfort wear. As a matter of fact, those Air bubbles are the only places where this shoe diverges from the snowed-in look, with those spots taking up a charcoal gray shade.

A release date still eludes us at the time of writing, but it’s safe to say that these will be available for purchase sooner than later. They’ll come with a retail price of $85 when they are, available in a full men’s size run.

Elsewhere on the comfort-minded side of things, the Yeezy Pods continue to loom large even amid the return of his Three Stripes work with the Adidas Yeezy 350 v2 “Steel Grey.”
