Exclusive Look At The Bob Marley x adidas SL 72

Updated February 29th, 2024: Sneaker News provides an exclusive look at the upcoming Bob Marley x adidas SL72 collaboration.

The Bob Marley estate and adidas are confirmed to release a collaborative sneaker this Summer season, and it just might be the next hit shoe for the German sportswear giant.

These images shared by Complex reveal a first look at the upcoming project, which is revealed to be a special edition of the SL72 running shoe. It is primarily black on the upper with a pairing of leather and nylon, with clear nods to the music icon’s Jamaican roots via the green and red on the sole. His insignia is featured in gold at the heel, while his portrait appears on the tongue in that signature adidas styling.

Bob Marley Adidas Sl72 Release

adidas has some considerable expectations for SL72 this year; on March 28th, at least a half-dozen colorways of the “Super Light” running shoe from 1972 are set to release in an effort to capture more of that slimmed and striped trend established by the adidas Samba. In addition to the original blue/red/white colorway, adidas has crafted several new colorway styles to assist in this mission to create the next must-have lifestyle shoe on the market.

Further details are not yet known, so stay tuned for continuing updates regarding this iconic shoe drop.

In other adidas news, Kanye West has recently spoken out about the Yeezy 350 and the brand’s decision to release remaining product he co-created.
