The Air Jordan 1 Mid is as much a beneficiary of lower demand as it as a victim. Though Jordan 1 High drops command more attention even in a somewhat fallow period for the model, that difference in demand means than the Mid is a far more accessible option. On choice occasions, the colorways that grace the lower cut sneaker can even stand toe-to-toe. Your mileage may vary, but the upcoming Jordan 1 “Cosmic Clay” makes a strong case for falling into that category.
It’s hard not to instantly chalk this up as a response or alternative to the Jordan 1 “Dusted Clay” dropped earlier today. With those instantly standing out in the early slate of Jordan Release Dates, the logic is easy to follow as to why a similar pair is dropping in close proximity.
These Mids certainly turn up the contrast, far more vibrant and bright than their high counterparts. However, the resemblance in their palette can’t be overlooked, both relying heavily on a formulation of brown and orange. This “Cosmic Clay” release also goes lighter with its earthy shade, veering closer to a sienna for the hue that paints the sock liner and ankle support.
Otherwise, this pair is relatively standard in its layout, with the two-tone arrangment that graces the rest of the sneaker falling into very familiar territory.
