The Nike Vapormax Moc Roam Appears In “Ashen Slate”

Comfort-minded footwear has never been more in vogue. The focus on function rose to the forefront during the pandemic, spawning a renewed push around the industry since, from the constant stream of Crocs collaborations to brand new offerings like the New Balance Fresh Foam X RCVRY. Somewhere in between, the Nike Vapormax Moc Roam retools one of Beaverton’s most popular tech innovations, sliding in once again in a sleek “Ashen Slate” colorway.

First landing in 2023, the inextricable Vapormax sole unit is intact on this model from other releases in the line, keeping constant the chunky performance-minded cult design. Up top, a breezy lightweight upper flows into an easy-on entrance. The colorway featured here is just as accessible, bringing together adjacent shades of “Ashen Slate” and “Thunder Blue” on that upper section. On the midsole, those hues give way to a cool grey at the forefoot, tracing the transition from translucent to opaque on the full-length Vapormax unit. While a “Barely Volt” Swoosh at the rear adds energy, in all this is a calm & collected take on the refreshed model.

The Nike Vapormax Moc “Ashen Slate” is expected to release for Summer 2024, carrying a $220 price tag. Enjoy retailer images below courtesy of Oneness, who also have select sizes in stock.

Elsewhere for the Swoosh, a new Nike x Cactus Plant Flea Market Air Force 1 collection was teased by none other than Lil Yachty.
