Nike Cortez “Picante Red” Is Available Now

A summer-ready take on the evergreen silhouette.

Nike Cortez “Picante Red” Is Available Now

The Nike Cortez is one of the more classic, reliable staples in the Nike catalog. Its timeless appeal lends to a constant stream of new looks, updated with each successive season. As we kick into Summer, the Cortez is responding in kind, emerging in its latest “Picante Red / University Blue” edition.

The red-hot shade is dominant on this shoe, taking up most of the underlying textile and the suede swatches that layer over top. Veering close to a reverse “Forrest Gump” look, the Swoosh, laces, tongue and heel cap all opt for platinum white or “Sail.” As one finishing touch, slight hits of “University Blue” pop around the model, from a stripe on the midsole to branding on the tongue tag. The combination of red, white and blue of course makes this a piece of 4th-ready footwear, but the colorway functions perfectly well outside of those bounds as a vibrant addition to any summer outfit.

The women’s Nike Cortez “Picante Red” is available now via Nike.com, retailing for $90. Follow links ahead under “Where To Buy” to land directly on the official product page.

For an upcoming pair out of Beaverton, take a look at the 2024 retro of the Nike Dunk Low “Veneer.”
