This pair was originally unveiled as a part of the SNKRS Live Jordan Summer Preview back in March, making it the first pair from that collection to release.  Reflective “Chrome” transforms the iconic AJ1 profile with crinkly, foil-like leather painted across the upper. The sockliner and outsole swap for the same matte “Wolf Grey,” the design rounds out with off-white “Sail” accents on the midsole and laces. Keeping constant with recent Air Jordan 1 drops, the box is also outfitted to match the colorway of the shoe — a mirrorlike lid is joined by a greyscale, black and white flip of the classic 1985 packaging design.

Zooming out on this release, the Air Jordan 1 High “Chrome” elucidates a pretty frequent design philosophy for Jordan Brand in 2024. Be it the Jordan 1 Low “Metallic Silver” set to follow this edition up in June, or more GR type fare released earlier this year, “Chrome” has played a major role in the AJ1 this year. Though there are no direct comparison points for this version, the CO.JP Jordan 1 from 2001 (retro’d in 2024) stands as a similar drop that achieved cult status. Only time will tell whether these will eventually receive the same treatment, but either way, their journey begins tomorrow.

Keep it locked to our Jordan Release Dates 2024 calendar for the latest on upcoming drops.
