Andrew Rizzo The UConn Huskies bested the Purdue Boilermakers in the NCAA men’s championship game on April 8th, becoming the first team to go back-to-back since Florida in 2006 and 2007. That big a stage calls for special footwear, and Nike made sure its sponsored squad was looking its very best with a fresh pack of PEs treated in UConn-worthy red, white, and blue.
Key standouts include special Nike Kobe 8s and KD 16s, with each presented in blue and white-dominant treatments. While most of the team opted for one of those two models, others rocked UConn versions of the Nike Ja 1, Zoom GT Cut 2, and non-PEs like the upcoming Kobe 6 “Italian Camo”.
