This edition continues the family started with the Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” in 2020, both in terms of the earthy colorway and color-blocking and the coffee-centric title. On top of opting for khaki over deep brown, the AJ1 “Latte” boasts special edition insoles, displaying a marbled pattern on the interior alongside cursive “23” text. Original article posted April 10th, 2024: Travis Scott made “Mocha” Air Jordan 1s one of the most iconic looks of the modern era, so it’s only natural that Jordan Brand would want to embrace more brown, coffee-adjacent treatments. We got a first glimpse at the “Latte” Jordan 1 High in October of last year and now official images arrive ahead of the shoe’s May 29th release, matching what’s been previewed thus far.
The shoes share a color blocking scheme with the “Dark Mocha” Jordan 1 that released Holiday 2020, only with soft tan leather in place of brown nubuck at the rear. In keeping with the theme, an abstract latte-inspired pattern appears on the insoles. Jordan 1 hype isn’t nearly as high as it was a few years ago, but this pair will likely draw eyes due to its La Flame ties, “Black Toe” forefoot, and spring-ready contemporary palette.
The Air Jordan 1 High “Latte” is currently set to release in women’s, preschool, and toddler sizing on May 29th.
