Andrew Rizzo If you’re in need of some fresh New Balance heat for spring, Foot Locker’s got you covered. An exclusive “Spruce Pack” made up of a 1906R and 9060 just touched down at footlocker.com and physical brand storefronts, marrying trending spring hues with some of New Balance’s most popular lifestyle models.
The 1906R follows the direction of similar red and blue colorways that are widely available, only with green swatched out in place of those colors. The model’s use of reflective overlays continues be a favored element among fans of retro, Y2K runners, and this pair appeases those sensibilities with liberal silver treatments from heel to toe.
While the suede-heavy 9060 wears more low-key materials by comparison, its bulky construction aligns well with the “dad shoe” aesthetic produced by its primarily monotone composition, adding to its appeal. Green accents are confined to the forefoot, tongue, and spine in keeping with that simplistic look.
