The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Italian Camo” releases tomorrow, April 12th, retailing for $190. The shoes will arrive in extended men’s sizing, stretching from M3.5 to M18. One of three Kobe Bryant releases on tap for the 12th, this pair commemorates “Mamba Day,” the anniversary of his final NBA game. As with most Nike releases, the SNKRS app will likely hold the most stock, but plenty of additional retailers have been confirmed to be hosting their own releases. Our “Where To Buy” section just ahead contains every link you’ll need for drop day.

Though the Nike Kobe 6 Protro hasn’t received as much love as the pairs it’ll land alongside, the “Italian Camo” version of the silhouette remains one of the most enduring in his signature line. The allusion in the namesake is easy enough to understand, a nod to his Italian upbringing during his father’s overseas basketball career. In turn, the palette is pulled from the nation’s military uniforms, bringing shades of olive, beige and black onto the patterned upper. That section creates something of an aesthetic double entendre- you can either take the title as laid out, or interpret its scale-like composition as a nod to his ever-present “Black Mamba” moniker.
As mentioned throughout the piece, this release will happen simultaneously alongside two others, the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Philly” and the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach.” Follow those links for similar “Where To Buy” guides.
