Nike Is Releasing The Diamond Turf Cleats In The Original Colorway

If you look good, then you feel good. If you feel good, then you play good. If you play good, they pay good. These are the principles of the one and only Deion Sanders aka Coach Prime, the NFL legend who took the college football world by storm upon his first season as the master chief for the Colorado Buffaloes. His revived footwear line with Nike earned a lot of the spotlight as well as he and Nike debuted a number of new Diamond Turf-inspired footwear models retooled for the gridiron, so we’re happy to announce that one of the more anticipated pairs is finally heading for a retail release.

The Nike Vapor Edge DT ’96 Cleat will indeed hit retail in the original white/black/university gold colorway. This icon dropped earlier this year in its original DT Max ’96 form, while the cleated version emerged even before that as a Player Exclusive for Arizona Cardinals QB and Nike athlete Kyler Murray.

Based on the official images, Nike kept the color-blocking honest the best they could, considering the cushioning platform is entirely different. Coach Prime logos appear on the pull-tabs at the tongue, custom insoles feature that above-mentioned mantra, and a Nike Football shoe-box will house the goods.

If the MSRP is the same as the Kyler Murray PE pair, expect these to arrive at $230; we’ll notify you when they’re available on Nike.com.
