Timeless “Black/White” Dots An OG-Adjacent Nike Alpha Force 88

It hasn’t even been a year since Nike made the decision to bring back the Alpha Force 88. Though a collaboration with Billie Eilish brought some extra juice to the archival silhouette, they’ve largely played the new run of the silhouette straight- relying on OG colorways or ones that hit very close to them. It seems that strategy is still in full effect with the latest edition, the Nike Alpha Force 88 “Black/White.”

This formulation falls somewhere in between the original “White/Black” and “White/Tech Grey” pairs that introduced the model back in the 80s. The white sockliner is the main change that keeps these from those two outfittings, but subtle “Sail” hits on the midsole paradoxically make these more modern while emulating a retro look. As far as in-vogue vintage style, few accurately represent the sensibilities of past decades better than the Alpha Force 88, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a more agreeable palette than this classic black & white.

This Nike Alpha Force 88 is likely to emerge via Nike in the coming weeks. Anticipate a $140 retail price when they materialize.

Sticking with retro offerings, the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” gets its wide release on May 4th, but take a look at our latest coverage regarding the SNKRS Exclusive Access opening April 25th.
