“Triple Grey” Finally Takes To The Nike Zoom Vomero 5

The metallic Vomero formula keeps bearing fruit.

“Triple Grey” Finally Takes To The Nike Zoom Vomero 5

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 has exceeded all expectations two years into its retro run. One of the more dominant silhouettes in Nike’s current arsenal, its unabashed embrace of tech runner styles has sustained true street-level inescapability. The latest edition does well to stick with what works best, a sleek blend of “Triple Grey.”

Metallic tones, the true calling card of Y2K trends, are applied in a heavy dose here. In sum, it’s a mix of complementary “Wolf Grey,” “Metallic Silver” and “Cool Grey,” those adjacent tones helping to maintain a sense of depth in this design. Though it’ll be hard to replicate the breakout success of editions like the “Chrome” or “Gold” Vomero 5, the reflective shades that adorn this pair make these at least an accessible substitute, and at best another entry into an impressive catalog of sought-after colorways.

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Triple Grey” is likely to hit Nike channels in the coming weeks. Expect the typical $160 retail price upon arrival.
