The Nike Dunk Low has touched seemingly every pixel of the color wheel, but sometimes timeless design and quality materials are all that’s truly needed.

Ask a sneakerhead and they’ll probably tell you that when it comes to buying Dunks, their number one consideration is the material quality. Dunks are produced in huge quantities nowadays, and when compared to the materials used on pairs from the 2000s, current leathers and suedes don’t quite match up. That’s not to say Nike’s lost the ability to hit the mark completely, but if good materials are of the utmost importance, look for “Special Edition” in the title as seen on this pair.

The design of focus here marries “Light Pumice” suede with white leather at the base, drawing its primary appeal through upgraded materials in the absence of color. No release date has been set, but given the shoe’s low-top profile and summer-friendly palette, expect these to hit shelves within the next few months as the weather continues to heat up.
