Nike Brings Back The Original Field General With Orange Swooshes

The sport of American football has become an unexpected influence in the casual sneaker market. Nike’s recent revivals of the Field General ’82 as well as the collaborative efforts of Bode and the Astrograbber have given a newfound spotlight to the Swoosh brand’s slimmer-fitting leather lifestyle catalog. This is surely a focused effort on the rising demands for less bulkier heritage product, which has resulted in pairs like the Air Force 1, Dunk, and Air Jordan 1 gathering dust on shelves.

With just a few pairs on the market, Nike is indeed taking a slow-burn strategy to bring these archival pairs to the market. The Field General ’82 recently debuted in its original colorway of white, black, and red; now, a fellow original joins the fray with bright Orange Blaze flooding the Swoosh logol heel, and tongue label.

These are currently earmarked for a May 16th, 2024 release with an approachable $100 MSRP; see the official images ahead and stay tuned for updates.
