Nike’s not afraid to warp its branding and embrace unique design themes, particularly when it comes to the Air Force 1. This latest “Dusk Till Dawn” pair comes with retro iconography, utilitarian additions, and motivational text on the heel that produces the unofficial namesake.
The design features a light purple, semi-translucent gum outsole that captures the essence of twilight in both color and the slightly foggy appearance of the rubber. Matching purple hits appear on the “Nike Air” heel stitching and upper portion of the tongue, while the Swoosh and heel tab come dressed in grey suede in alignment with the shoe’s soft palette.
Distinctive details include whimsical 70s-style Nike branding on the tongue, accompanied by vibrant watercolor-like nature illustrations just above. The heel is particularly busy, featuring two different fonts that read “Just Do It. Dusk Till Dawn.” in a wavy pattern, along with a loop that allows for wrap-around lacing.
While sunset-inspired designs have graced various Nike models over the years, the “Dusk Till Dawn” theme referenced here has been primarily associated with Nike Running releases.
