Updated May 22nd, 2024: More images of the Air Jordan 4 RM “Oxidized Green” just landed, indicating that stockists have began receiving pairs. While a release detail still eludes us at the time of writing, these new shots certainly hit towards a drop coming sooner than later. Keep it locked in to our Jordan Release Dates 2024 page for the latest and enjoy detailed looks just ahead.
The Air Jordan 4‘s 35th anniversary has given way to some of the biggest shoes of the year- the Jordan 4 “Military Blue” and “Bred Reimagined” and already strong contenders for sneaker of 2024. One of the biggest curveballs the celebration has brought is the Jordan 4 RM, a retooled take on the iconic design first previewed by Nigel Sylvester. With the model’s expected debut inching closer, a third pair is now entering the mix in an “Oxidized Green” colorway.
If you squint, the overall shape of Mike’s 4th signature remains- the toebox, sole unit and wavy mudguard all hold over from the OG construction. However, the TPU cage that envelops both sides radically changes the upper, extended through the heel tag as it shortens in the process. In terms of the palette at play, it’s a rather simple two-tone arrangement, painting “Oxidized Green” up top while off-white “Sail” handles things below. All things coinsidered, these new images add to the understanding of the “RM” as a low version of the AJ4 proper. That goes for structure and for marketing, reducing the model’s height and bringing the price point down to match it.
A concrete release date hasn’t been announced, but we’re expecting the Air Jordan 4 RM and this “Oxidized Green” colorway this Summer at $150 a pop.
On the upcoming slate, the J Balvin Jordan 3 “Rio” lands this week, as does the Air Jordan 12 “Red Taxi.”
